Pierce Takes HOSS Feature

Aaron Pierce takes the win in the Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series annual visit to the high banks of Salem Speedway for the Calvin Gilstrap Classic.  Taking the lead on lap 25 he was followed by Tim Cox, Greg Wheeler, Geoff Kaiser, and Ryan Myers rounding out the top five.

As qualifications ended Kevin Feeny was fastest with pierce, Lower, Wheeler, and Cox being the fast five.

Feeny takes heat one, heat two is Pierce, and Lower wins heat three.

Fast qualifier Feeny drew  an eight for the feature inversion.  Jonathan Kettlewell and Ryan Myers took their position on the front row.  Myers takes the initial lead with Tim Cox on his heals with Feeny working his way  to third.  Cox takes over thepoint on lap seven with Pierce patiently working his way through the field.  Pierce took the lead from Cox on 23 and Feeny’s spin bringing out the yellow caused Pierce to have to work his way around Cox again.  As Pierce passes Cox on 25 Wheeler moves into third as he passed Myers.  Myers was then passed by Kaiser to end up fifth.
